TESTING AND ORDERING
From patient selection to testing.
Find the practical information you need to determine whether PARIS® may be appropriate for your patient, understand sample requirements and coordinate testing with Cure First.
PATIENT ELIGIBILITY
Is functional testing appropriate for your patient?
PARIS may be considered for patients with solid tumors when additional personalized information could help inform treatment discussions.
Functional testing may be particularly relevant to consider for patients with:
Recurrent or Progressive Cancer
Cancer that has returned or progressed following previous treatment.
Rare Cancers
Cancers for which established treatment pathways or available evidence may be limited.
SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS
Fresh tumor sample requires careful coordination.
PARIS functional testing requires a fresh tumor sample containing viable cancer cells. Proper sample collection, handling and shipping are critical to successful testing.
Cure First should be contacted before the planned procedure so the clinical and laboratory teams can coordinate sample collection and shipment.
01
FRESH TUMOR SAMPLE
PARIS requires fresh tumor tissue suitable for isolation and testing of living cancer cells.
02
COLLECTION
Follow Cure First’s current sample collection requirements to help preserve cell viability.
03
SHIPPING
Samples must be packaged and shipped according to Cure First instructions to support successful receipt and processing.
04
TIMING
Coordinate with Cure First at least 48 hours in advance of the planned biopsy or surgical procedure.
HOW TO ORDER
Coordinate testing.

Coordinate the Sample
Cure First works with the clinical team to coordinate collection and shipment of the fresh tumor sample.
Initiate Testing
Once an appropriate sample is received, testing can begin.
FROM SAMPLE TO REPORT
What happens after the sample arrives?
Prepare
Living tumor cells are isolated and prepared for functional testing.
Test
Therapies are selected for the individual patient and tested against the living tumor cells.
Analyze
The functional response of the tumor cells is measured and analyzed alongside available molecular and clinical information.
Report
Results are compiled into the PARIS report for the treating physician.
Discuss
The physician considers the PARIS results alongside other clinical information when discussing potential treatment options with the patient.
Results are typically available in approximately 3–4 weeks.
