From discovery to clinical impact.

Cure First’s story began with Dr. Carla Grandori’s research into MYC, a powerful cancer-driving gene that is notoriously difficult to target directly. Using functional genomics and high-throughput robotic screening, her research team systematically tested thousands of genes to uncover vulnerabilities in MYC-driven cancers and identify new possibilities for treatment.

Years of research followed to develop methods for keeping patient-derived cancer cells alive and testing their response to therapies. That work ultimately led to the development of the PARIS Test and a new focus on functional precision oncology. Today, Cure First continues that mission with members of the original PARIS development team—scientists, biologists, computational and software engineers, and physicians—working together to bring functional testing to patients.
